Roundtable discussions

Through three roundtable discussions we spoke to: (1) any individual who feels their needs and requirements are not typically captured by the design of products, services, and information resources services (2) charities and organisations that advocate for LGBTQ+ and disabled communities (3) organisations that conduct user research.

During the roundtables we hope to identify potential solutions for embedding equality, diversity and inclusion in usability testing.

Participatory event: April and May 2022.

A Zoom style meeting, attended by 9 stick people.

Interviews

We organised 1 hour interviews with folks who identified as LGBTQ+ and/or disabled. We also spoke to organisations who undertake usability testing research, as well as organisations who support LGBTQ+ and disability communities and individuals.

Through the interviews we hope to identify challenges and barriers for embedding equality, diversity and inclusion in usability testing.

Participatory event: March and April 2022.
