Community

The idea to collect and showcase community stories stemmed from the project's roundtable discussions. A number of participants raised the idea of creating a positive space for sharing potential solutions to barriers in inclusive usability testing, from varied perspectives.

The stories we have collected raise interesting and challenging issues - but they also provide tangible suggestions to improve EDI in usability testing. Contributors include people with lived experience, researchers, and people who work in sectors and industries with adjacent issues. Each story provides lessons we can apply to usability research.

If you would like to join the conversation, email Sophie Rutter s.rutter@sheffield.ac.uk, or tweet us @embedEDI.

The podcasts are a project resource. They help to explore the motivations, experiences and expectations of people involved in the research project: the research team and user researchers. The three-part series explores the experiences of people joining the project and becoming a part of the EmbedEDI community.
